Part of a project showcasing hypothetical "hyper-evolved" versions of real animals that live in a dystopian, post-human environment. This post showcases the Bear Shrew, a descendant of the common Asian House Shrew which has grown to monstrous proportions and is adapted to hunting in the swamps and forests of future Japan. The book "Science of Creature Design" by Terryl Whitlatch has heavily informed this project.
